Prestige classes?

Post  Rebel Marksman on Thu Dec 10, 2009 3:24 am

Does anyone remember in Kotor II when the message comes up in the game that said something like, “your are now high enough to enter a prestige class" and then it brought up a list that said (for Jedi) Jedi weapons master, Jedi watchman and something else. Anyway I was wondering if this something they well put in SW:TOR I heard something like minor classes in each individual class.

From what I have read there will be two branches per class. I don't know if it will be considered a prestige class or not, but it sounds similar.

I haven't seen anything anywhere on this topic. I really enjoyed that in Knights of the Old Republic, you could level up a character with heavy fighting ability then choose powers in a prestige class to augement the opposite and give yourself consular like abilities. Or do the opposite. This gave a powerful well rounded character.
I would rather see ability trees that allow specialization. Perhaps when you have leveled a character to maximum, have an elete tree to specialise in one area. This would individualize each person even more.
